June 2022 UPDATE:
For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students is expected to expire at the end of this school year, meaning families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for the 2022-23 school year.  Interested families are encouraged to submit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application before the first day of the 22-23 school year. The online application will be available later this summer and accessible via the FCPS homepage.

Transportation
Bus stops and route information will be shared with families via the ParentVue accounts in August. For more information about bus transportation, including how to access the Bus Delay Notification System, visit the Transportation page.

FCPS Special Education Handbook for Parents
The Special Education Handbook for Parents includes details of the special education process. This process occurs sequentially, over a period of time, with each step building upon the previous step(s). It is important for families to understand how the special education process works, so they can effectively participate and collaborate with school staff members in making appropriate decisions regarding their child’s educational needs. Families are an integral part of the decision-making team. Contact the PRC at 703-204-3941 or prc@fcps.edu with any questions including access to these documents.

Free online tutoring services
Beginning April 14, FCPS students will have unlimited access to online tutoring support services through Tutor.com at no cost to families. Student participation is optional, and parents/guardians can opt their student(s) out of accessing the services. Detailed information and FAQs are available on the Tutor.com Online Tutoring Services website. Students will be able to access Tutor.com via a link in Schoology.  Additional information about how to log in and access a tutor is provided to families via the following instructional videos:  Tutor.com: How it Works-Elementary. Tutor.com: How it Works-Middle and High School.  Questions not answered in the posted resources may be sent to onlinetutoring@fcps.edu.
