Haycock Elementary School PTA Privacy Policy
Haycock Elementary School PTA (“HaycockPTA”, “PTA”,“Us”, “We” or “Our”) respects the privacy of the visitors to the Haycock PTA website (the “Site”). This Haycock PTA Privacy Policy between You and Us (the “Privacy Policy”) is intended to inform You of Our policies and practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of any Personal Information and Anonymous Information You submit to Us through the Site.

The Personal Information We gather from You will be used in the PTA’s regular functions, including, but not limited to, the creation and publishing of a directory of PTA members and related directory information (”PTA Directory”) for distribution to PTA members and to Haycock Elementary School administrators and teachers.
Personal Information You Provide to Us
We collect Personal Information that You submit to Us voluntarily through the Site.
- You may voluntarily submit your name, address, email address and any other information to be included in the PTA Directory via the Site.
- When You contact Us by sending Us an e-mail, We will collect Your name, e-mail address and information contained in the e-mail You send us.
Personal Information Collected Via Technology
As You navigate the Site, certain information may also be collected passively, including Your Internet protocol address (“IP address”), browser type, domain names, access times, and operating system. We also use Cookies and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) to gather information regarding the date and time of Your visit and the information for which You searched and which You viewed. This type of information is collected to make Our Site more useful to You. We also use Cookies to maintain a secure login during Your Visit to the Site.

When we use the term “directory information” we follow the Fairfax County Public Schools definition as set forth in the Opt-Out policies. Fairfax County Public Schools defines “directory information” as including (but not limited to):

• Participation in officially recognized activities and sports.
• Height and weight, if a member of an athletic team.
• Birthdate.
• Attendance record.
• Awards and honors.
• School and grade.
• Photographs and other images.
• Name of parent or guardian or individual with whom student lives.
• Student gender and primary or home language (for limited purposes only–see below).
• Address and phone number (for limited purposes only–see below).
We do not get all of this information from the school, but we do use the information we do get from the school in the manner described in this policy.
Personal Information We Receive From Other Sources
We may receive Personal Information about You from other sources like postal mail, telephone or fax. We may add this information to the information We have already collected from You via the Site in order to perform the PTA’s regular functions, or to include in the PTA Directory where you have indicated your permission to include such information in the PTA Directory.
Use of Information
In general, Personal Information You submit to Us is used either to respond to requests that You make, to perform regular PTA functions, or to publish the PTA Directory. We may also use Your Personal Information to provide You with the Haycock PTA newsletters, surveys, or information e-mails regarding PTA business and events and for other communication purposes of Haycock PTA, unless You request not to receive such communications from us .
We may create Anonymous Information records from Personal Information by excluding information (such as Your name) that make the information personally identifiable to You. We may use this Anonymous Information to analyze request patterns and usage patterns so that We may enhance Our Site. Haycock PTA reserves the right to use and disclose Anonymous Information to third parties in its discretion, including for internal business analysis and providing required information to the state PTA chapter.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Except for (i) disclosure by Us of your Personal Information to be included in the PTA Directory to a third party publisher for publishing the PTA Directory, or (ii) as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, We do not generally trade, rent, or share Your Personal Information with third parties.
Regardless of any choices You make regarding Your Personal Information (as described below), We may disclose Your Personal Information if We believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to court orders; or (b) to protect and defend the rights or property of Haycock PTA or third parties.
Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information
We offer You choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of Your Personal Information. We will not send You information unless You put Your name on the list requesting information and communications from Us. Despite Your indicated e-mail preferences, We may send You notices of any updates to Our Terms of Use or Privacy Policy.
You may change any of the Personal Information in Your account by editing Your online profile.
Regarding Children
We do not intentionally gather Personal Information about visitors who are under the age of 13. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to access this Site, and may not submit Personal Information via the Site. Only PTA patent or teacher members over the age of 18 may submit Personal Information via the Site, including for purposes of providing information for the PTA Directory.
We do not identify any children whose photos are on the site in non-password protected areas of the Site. Use of any child's name on the Site will be only with permission of a parent of guardian.
If you shop at one of our associated merchants or visit linked sites
When you follow a link to an associated merchant of Ours or another informational site, you leave the Haycock PTA Site. While we have made every effort to choose merchants and link to other sites that respect privacy, we have no control over your privacy once you leave Our site. Except as provided elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, Haycock PTA limits access to Personal Information in electronic databases to those persons (including PTA Members and third parties assisting with administration of the Site or publishing of the PTA Directory) in Haycock PTA’s organization who have a PTA-related need for such access.
Even though Haycock PTA has taken steps to protect Your Personal Information from being intercepted, accessed, used, or disclosed by unauthorized persons, You should know that Haycock PTA cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with Personal Information.
